Oddly enough when I purchase Contour Next test strips on my own from resellers they come marked with "For use by Medicare/Medicaid Beneficiaries ONLY". On a side note it really seems to me like the government is trying to kill diabetes patients who rely on Medicare part B for testing supplies by making the process as difficult as possible.
Is it still possible to fill prescriptions for Contour Next test strips using Medicare part B? If so which methods are working for you? At which pharmacy chains? I am now attempting to transfer my prescriptions to Walgreens but the process there seems to be long and involved as well. After those problems were fixed, Safeway then claimed that Contour Next test strips are not covered by my insurance even though I specifically told them I was covered by Medicare part B. Then they claimed the doctor made a mistake describing the lancets. First they said the doctor used the wrong form. I then had my doctor send in a prescription to a local Safeway pharmacy. I googled around and found a few that way but none of them supply Contour Next strips.
